As very little of this has ever seen official release and has only ever been available to TV studios or bootleg. As such, much of the analysis of this material is from bootleg material, which is to be treated as suspect and some information provided on this page may not be entirely accurate. A sport announcer talks about something new and remarkable. Then an athlete throws a discus with the ELO logo while Tightrope plays. When it lands, two men run up with a measuring tape and Livin' Thing begins to play. The men measure where the discus has landed (which is now an ELO record) and declare "it's a new world record!"Electric Light Orchestra Livin' Thing #1 1976 A New World Record Promo Movie - Promo Video This version is unique to the video. Much of the last half of the song is mixed with sound effects of the scientists launching the rocket and the sound of the rocket itself taking off. The song is extended by about 15 seconds with the fade-out intercutting choruses from other parts of the song onto the end. This extended fade-out is mostly obscured by an announcer talking over it.
